The Harvard Ministerial Leadership Program is proud to welcome the Rt. Hon. Patrick Achi, former Prime Minister of Côte d’Ivoire, to its distinguished Advisory Board. Mr. Achi brings decades of leadership and policy expertise, having served as Prime Minister from March 2021 to October 2023, where he led key national initiatives and strategic development efforts.

Before his tenure as Prime Minister, Mr. Achi played a crucial role in shaping Côte d’Ivoire’s Vision 2030 Strategic Development Plan, focusing on transformative areas such as economic growth, youth employment, food security, and environmental sustainability. His extensive experience in leading public-private partnerships (PPPs) and collaborating with global development finance institutions was instrumental in modernizing Côte d’Ivoire’s infrastructure, including roads, ports, and water systems.

During the Harvard Ministerial Leadership Program’s Forum for Finance Ministers in April 2024, Mr. Achi was invited to serve as a keynote speaker and contributed to discussions on how Finance Ministers can balance political and economic expectations within their countries. His insights during the Forum highlighted his deep understanding of the challenges political leaders face in meeting both economic goals and public expectations, further demonstrating his expertise in navigating complex policy landscapes.

Most recently, Mr. Achi was a fellow at the Harvard Center for International Development, where he engaged in global policy discussions and shared insights from his remarkable career.

Mr. Achi’s addition to the Advisory Board enriches the Harvard Ministerial Leadership Program’s mission to support government Ministers to exercise purposeful leadership and achieve transformative policy goals. We are thrilled to have his wealth of knowledge and leadership expertise contributing to our efforts.
